The document to which the area plan will be added.
ElementId

areaSchemeId

The id of the AreaScheme which will be used by the area plan.
ElementId

levelId

The id of the Level to associate with the area plan.

Return Value ViewPlan The new area plan ViewPlan.

ArgumentException

The AreaScheme id is not valid and cannot be used for area plan views. -or- The ElementId levelId does not correspond to a Level. -or- Plan view creation is not allowed in this family.
ArgumentNullException

A non-optional argument was null
ModificationForbiddenException

The document is in failure mode: an operation has failed, and Revit requires the user to either cancel the operation or fix the problem (usually by deleting certain elements). -or- The document is being loaded, or is in the midst of another sensitive process.
